Poland scrambles planes amid missile attacks on Ukraine

Poland activated its military aviation on Wednesday, December 25. The planes took off because of a massive Russian attack on Ukraine.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the Operational Command of the Polish Armed Forces on Twitter.
“Attention, due to the air attack of the Russian Federation, which can hit objects located in western Ukraine, military aircraft have begun operating in our airspace,” the statement reads.
According to the Operational Command, combat aircraft, ground-based air defense and radar reconnaissance systems have been put on alert in Poland. The forces and means are aimed at ensuring the security of the territories adjacent to Ukraine.
