He also said that the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine and the World Bank had signed an agreement providing for the use of this amount within the PEACE in Ukraine project.

According to him, this financial package is part of a broader initiative under which the United States is providing Ukraine with $20 billion as part of the G7 initiative.

Shmyhal noted that the funds will be used for social and humanitarian spending.

“We are grateful to the United States and the World Bank for implementing and supporting the initiative that makes Russia pay for its aggression against Ukraine,” the Prime Minister emphasized.
