Canada has announced the allocation of 389 million Canadian dollars (over 280 million US dollars) for training Ukrainian pilots on F-16 fighter jets.
According to Yevropeiska Pravda, this was reported by the office of Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
According to the statement, these funds will be used to support the training of pilots of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), as well as to provide critical equipment for the safe operation of F-16 fighters by Ukraine.
Trudeau's office also revealed the contents of the previously announced military aid package for Ukraine.
"This includes nearly $444 million for the Canadian Department of Defense to support the cost of military equipment, assistance and training for the Armed Forces, as well as more than $56 million for the NATO Comprehensive Assistance Package Trust Fund for Ukraine to help rebuild Ukraine's security and defense sector and facilitate Ukraine's transition to full interoperability with NATO," the statement said.
