It is known that more than 3,500 allied soldiers will take part in the Resolute Warrior 2024 exercise, led by NATO's Multinational Division North. Their task is to demonstrate the brigade's ability to conduct operations by integrating all subordinate and supporting units.
“The training of the NATO multinational brigade deployed in Latvia is a clear and unequivocal proof of the presence of the Allies in the Baltic region and their readiness to defend Latvia together with the NAF, if necessary,” said Latvian Defense Minister Andris Sprūds.
Exercise Resolute Warrior 2024 demonstrates the ability of NATO's multinational brigade in Latvia to rapidly deploy forces, maintain command, control, communications and integrate all subordinate and supporting units.
On October 17, the Canadian-led NATO Multinational Battlegroup Latvia, previously commanded by the Army's Mechanized Infantry Brigade, was transferred to the NATO Multinational Brigade.
The brigade now brings together troops from 13 NATO countries: Albania, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Iceland, Italy, Canada, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia and Spain.
