NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen have agreed to establish a new high-level task force to strengthen cooperation between the Alliance and the EU.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the NATO press service.
During a meeting on Tuesday, October 29, Rutte and von der Leyen agreed that Russia's war of aggression against Ukraine is the greatest threat to peace and security in Europe.
They emphasized that the deployment of North Korean soldiers in support of Russia's aggressive war “is a significant escalation of the war against Ukraine, as well as a serious threat to European security and global peace.”
To counter these threats and challenges, Rutte and von der Leyen agreed to establish a new high-level working group to strengthen existing EU-NATO cooperation.
Planning for the group's first meeting is expected to begin “in the coming weeks.”
