Poland deploys warplanes over a Russian missile attack on Ukraine

Poland scrambled its military aircraft late Friday night in response to the current Russian missile attack on Ukrainian territory.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to Twitter (X) of the Operational Command of the Polish Armed Forces.

In a statement, the agency said that Polish aircraft were raised and operated in the sky in the southeastern part of the country. In this context, the military urged local residents to pay attention to the fact that "an increase in noise level" is possible in these regions.

"This evening, the activity of the Russian Federation is observed in connection with the launching of missile strikes on objects located on the territory of Ukraine," the Polish Armed Forces' Joint Chiefs of Staff said in a statement late on April 26.

The Polish military added that "all the necessary procedures to ensure the safety of our airspace have been initiated" and the situation is being monitored.
