The main subject of discussion at the first and subsequent peace summits will be the peace formula proposed by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

The peace formula reflects a scenario for ending the war with Russia based on the UN Charter and international law. It consists of 10 points:

  • Radiation and nuclear safety.
  • Food security.
  • Energy security.
  • Release of all prisoners and deportees (including abducted children).
  • Implementation of the UN Charter and restoration of territorial integrity and world order.
  • Withdrawal of Russian troops and cessation of hostilities.
  • Return of justice.
  • Counteracting ecocide.
  • Preventing escalation.
  • Fixing the end of the war.

Meetings on the peace formula have already been held at the level of advisors to the heads of state, five in total. Now, Ukraine wants to hold a summit at the level of leaders, where the results achieved will be recorded.

In his evening address, Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the first peace summit would focus on three issues.

The Head of State specified what they are:

  • Energy and nuclear security.
  • Free navigation.
  • Exchange of prisoners.

The latter issue is to be divided into two sub-issues: the exchange of all prisoners and the return of Ukrainian children who were deported to Russia.

If there is no disagreement among the participating leaders, it is expected that the states responsible for each issue will be identified.
