Bloomberg writes that Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda has called for better relations with China after the opening of a trade mission with Taiwan three years ago provoked a rift between the countries.

Details: The Lithuanian president said that while he believes the establishment of a trade mission is “positive in principle,” it should use the word “Taipei” rather than “Taiwan” in accordance with international standards to defuse tensions with China.
“This could serve as a signal from Lithuania to normalize diplomatic relations with China,” Nausėda said.
