Geolocation footage released on May 5 and 6 showed Russian forces making minor advances east of Stelmakhivka and south of Krokhmalne (both northwest of Svatove).

Russian milbloggers and officials have also claimed advances on the eastern outskirts of Stelmakhivka, capturing Kotlyarivka and Kyslivka (northwest of Svatove), but ISW has not observed visual evidence of these claims.

They reminded that earlier, on April 27, Russia had already claimed to have captured Kyslivka.

Russian troops continued the assault on May 6:

  • northwest of Svatove near Pishchane and Berestove;
  • northwest of Kreminna near Nevske and Novosadove;
  • west of Kreminna near Torske;
  • south of Kreminna in the area of Serebryanske forestry and Bilohorivka.
