Russia imports at least 3,600 luxury cars despite sanctions

Since the beginning of the Great War and until July 2023, Russia has imported at least 3,600 luxury cars, despite the fact that the G7 countries imposed restrictions on the export of such goods to Russia in early March 2022.

This was reported by Ukrainska Pravda.

The UP investigation shows that Russian billionaires are currently overpaying for "logistical inconveniences". However, the Kremlin oligarchs can still afford it, despite sanctions and restrictions.

Most of the cars imported were made by Mercedes, with 764 units imported, 49 of which were Mercedes Maybachs.
