Feb 29, 2024

The Ukrainian military was able to knock out the occupiers from Krasnohorivka in the Donetsk region. Earlier, the Russians partially entered the city.

This is reported by RBC-Ukraine regarding the 3rd separate assault brigade.

The military said that the day before, the forces of the Russian army had attacked the southeastern part of Krasnohorivka and entered the city.

In order not to allow the enemy to gain a foothold, units of the Third Separate Assault Brigade and assault battalions carried out a combat operation to clear the city of enemy forces.

"In a short time, the enemy managed to prepare for a long-term defense, and despite resistance and heavy fighting, the assault groups of the brigade inflicted unavoidable losses on the enemy - about 100 occupants of the 200s and 300s," the brigade reported.

The military also reported that the Russians refused to surrender and were eliminated in the houses they occupied.

"As of now, Krasnohorivka is under the control of Ukrainian troops," concluded the third assault brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
