On Wednesday, December 6, the United Kingdom will announce a new package of sanctions against individuals and groups of foreign suppliers exporting military equipment and parts to Russia.

This is reported with reference to the British government.

The sanctions measures are intended to deprive Vladimir Putin's regime of resources for the production of weapons used in the illegal war in Ukraine.

"We remain unwavering in our support of Ukraine. If we allow Putin’s aggression to succeed, it will embolden those who challenge democracy and threaten our way of life. We cannot let them prevail," British Foreign Secretary David Cameron said.

It is worth noting that in early November, the UK imposed sanctions on 29 individuals and legal entities in Russia's gold and oil sectors. The new lists include Russian oligarchs and businessmen, as well as third-country associates who generate the aggressor's military revenues.

In September, the British government imposed sanctions against officials of the Russian occupation administrations in the Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, Luhansk and Donetsk regions, as well as in Crimea. Their assets will be frozen and their entry banned.
