Umerov spoke with the head of the Pentagon

Defense Minister of Ukraine Rustem Umyerov announced that today, October 1, he held talks with US Defense Minister Lloyd Austin. This happened against the background of a tense situation in the USA regarding funding to support Ukraine.
RBC-Ukraine reported this with a link to his Twitter.
"Today I had a telephone conversation with my American colleague to discuss further military assistance from the US," the minister said.
Umerov thanked his American colleague for his support, and Lloyd, in turn, according to the minister, promised to continue it.
"Minister Austin assured me that American support for Ukraine will continue. Ukrainian soldiers will continue to have strong support on the battlefield," the Ukrainian minister added.-
