Ukraine could have seized the Kursk nuclear power plant in the city of Kurchatov. But it did not want to do so.
This was stated by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, RBC-Ukraine reports, citing his interview with media in Northern Europe.
“Russia thinks that they are very strong, but if we wanted to seize their nuclear power plant, we would have done it, we could have done it, but we never wanted to do it,” the president said.
The Head of State emphasized that Ukraine had never wanted to seize the nuclear power plant in the Kursk region, as it would mean becoming like Russians.
“We are not occupying their critical infrastructure, as they did with the Zaporizhzhia NPP,” Zelenskyy added.-
