Israeli Security Cabinet officially approves ceasefire with Hezbollah

Israel's Security Cabinet supports a ceasefire agreement with Hezbollah. The fighting in Lebanon will stop.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to The Times of Israel and a speech by US President Joe Biden.

According to the Israeli Prime Minister's Office, 10 Israeli ministers voted in favor of the ceasefire. Only one minister was against it.

The Times of Israel clarifies that the only member of the security cabinet who voted against the agreement was National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir.

“Israel appreciates the U.S. contribution to this process and reserves the right to act against any threat to its security,” Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu assured.
