Norway, along with other allies, will provide about 120 million euros to Ukraine. The money is needed to ensure that Romania receives a new Patriot system to replace the one transferred to Ukraine.

According to RBC-Ukraine, this decision was announced by Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre.

According to him, Norway is allocating 1.4 billion Norwegian kroner, which is about 120 million euros, for a project through which the allies will finance Romania's provision of Patriot to Ukraine. Germany and the United States are also involved in the project.

“Russian attacks continue unabated, and Ukraine needs more air defense to protect civilians. Air defense for Ukraine is a priority area for Norway, and I am very pleased that we can help Ukraine get the new Patriot system,” Støre said.

The Norwegian government also reminded that it had previously allocated 4 billion kroner to strengthen Ukraine's air defense. The funds were used to purchase interceptor missiles for the Patriot, IRIS-T batteries, and repair existing air defense systems.
