On Wednesday, October 30, Lithuania handed over a new batch of military aid to Ukraine. It includes, in particular, shells, mortars and generators.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the press service of the Lithuanian Ministry of Defense.
“Lithuania continues to support Ukraine. This week, important military support - generators, ammunition, mortars, etc. - will be delivered to the Armed Forces of Ukraine so that they are well equipped to fight the enemy this winter,” the statement said.
The ministry recalled that in response to Ukraine's requests, Lithuania has already transferred 155-mm artillery shells, M113 armored personnel carriers, drone defense systems, winter gear and warm clothing, ammunition for the Carl Gustaf anti-tank grenade launcher, RISE-1 remote detonation systems, generators, a forklift, folding beds, etc.
Since the beginning of the war, Lithuania has provided Ukraine with military support worth more than 705 million euros. Lithuania's overall support to Ukraine is long-term and has exceeded one billion euros.
