A representative of the South Korean president said that Seoul is considering sending a group of military observers to Ukraine to observe and analyze the deployment of North Korean troops by Russia on the front line.

The official told the publication that at least 11,000 North Korean troops have been deployed to Russia. More than 3,000 of them were moved closer to the front line.

The South Korean president's office explained that Pyongyang could gain valuable experience for its troops if they are involved in the war on the side of Russia. This would pose a direct military threat to South Korea.

“Therefore, we must analyze and monitor the actions of North Korean troops against our ally Ukraine,” the official added.
