Russia launches 50 drones against Ukraine at night
On the night of December 4, the Russian Federation (RF) attacked Ukraine with a guided missile and 50 drones. Air defense managed to destroy 29 drones.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the Telegram channel of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).
Last night, the enemy used
- X-59/69 guided missile, which was launched from the airspace of the Kursk region;
- 50 Shahed-type attack unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and other types of drones. The areas where the drones were launched were the Russian cities of Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Orel, and Millerovo.
Anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Air Force and Defense Forces were engaged in repelling the attack.
As of 9 a.m., 29 drones have been confirmed downed in Kyiv, Kharkiv, Poltava, and a number of other regions. In particular, 18 drones were lost locally and one more left the controlled airspace in the direction of the temporarily occupied territory.
