Umerov discusses with Austin preparations for new “Ramstein”

Ukraine's Defense Minister Rustem Umerov had a telephone conversation with his American counterpart Lloyd Austin. The parties discussed, in particular, preparations for the next meeting of the contact group on assistance to Ukraine in the Ramstein format.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to Umerov's Facebook page.
The Ukrainian minister noted that “special attention” was paid to this topic during the conversation with the Pentagon chief.
“Ukraine and its partners continue to work on solutions that will help to further strengthen our defense capabilities and bring victory closer,” Umerov said.
According to the Ukrainian Defense Minister, during the “weekly important conversation” with Austin, the current situation on the battlefield was discussed, as well as “key challenges and needs of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.”
“We also focused on the strategic planning for 2025, in particular, the supply of weapons, equipment and equipping our units,” Umerov said.-
