US strikes in several parts of Yemen - The Guardian

The United States has struck several parts of Yemen, including its capital Sanaa and the port city of Hodeidah. Houthi strongholds were hit.

An anonymous US official said that the US military had struck a number of Houthi targets in Yemen.

According to him, American planes and ships struck weapons systems, bases and other equipment belonging to the Iranian-backed group, resulting in the destruction of Houthi strongholds.

The exact number of targets is not yet known, as the mission is just ending.

According to the Houthi media, seven strikes were carried out on the airport in Hodeidah and the Qateib district, where there is a military base controlled by the Houthis.

Another four strikes were carried out in the Sayyana neighborhood in the capital Sanaa, and two strikes were carried out in Dhamar province, according to Houthi reports. The Houthi press service also reported three airstrikes in Baida province, southeast of Sanaa.
