Iran plans to strike Israel with ballistic missiles in the near future
Iran may attack Israel with ballistic missiles. The attack is scheduled for the near future.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to The Times of Israel and CNN.
“The United States has reason to believe that Iran is preparing to launch a ballistic missile attack against Israel in the near future,” CNN quoted an unnamed White House official as saying.
According to him, the United States supports defense preparations to protect Israel from an attack. The official also added that if Iran strikes, there will be serious consequences for it.
The source emphasized that the United States is ready to do everything possible to help Israel intercept air targets, as it did during the April Iranian attack.
The American official told reporters that Iran's upcoming attack on Israel could be similar in scale to the April attack. Back then, Iran launched about 170 drones and more than 120 ballistic missiles toward Israel in response to a strike on the Iranian diplomatic complex in Syria.
Almost all air targets were intercepted by Israel and its allies.
