EU prepares sanctions against Iran for supplying ballistic missiles to Russia

The European Union is preparing to adopt a package of sanctions against Iran for supplying ballistic missiles to Russia. The bloc intends to approve this step by the time EU leaders gather for a summit in Brussels at the end of this month.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to Bloomberg.

The first set of measures will affect about a dozen individuals and organizations, including engineering, metallurgical and aviation companies, the agency's sources said.

The EU restrictions will be the first response to the missile supply, and additional lists are being considered.

EU sanctions require the support of all member states and plans may change before that happens.
