France proposes to tighten control over financial aid to Ukraine

France has come up with an initiative to limit the powers of the European Commission in the distribution of funds for Ukraine, proposing to strengthen control by national capitals and the European Parliament.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to Politico.
At the last meeting of EU diplomats, France supported the idea of introducing stricter controls over the distribution of a 35 billion euro loan that Brussels plans to provide to Ukraine in the coming weeks.
This decision is expected to make the financial assistance process more transparent and manageable at the level of individual EU member states.
