US State Department reacts to execution of 16 Ukrainian soldiers

The United States does not yet have independent information to confirm reports of mass executions of Ukrainian prisoners by the Russian military. However, they emphasize Russia's systematic atrocities since the beginning of its aggression against Ukraine.
This was stated by US State Department spokesman Matthew Miller, RBC-Ukraine reports citing a briefing.
“We have seen these reports, but I have no independent data to confirm them. However, it is important that Ukraine is conducting an appropriate investigation,” he said.
Miller also emphasized that Russia has been committing horrific acts since the beginning of the conflict.
