The IMF Board of Directors will consider a $1.1 billion tranche for Ukraine. The decision will be made before the fall meetings of the IMF and the World Bank, which will be held on October 21-26.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine, citing a statement by IMF Communications Director Julie Kozak at a briefing in Washington.

According to Kozak, on September 10, IMF staff and the Ukrainian authorities reached a staff-level agreement on the fifth review.

“Under the EFF agreement, subject to the approval of our Board of Directors, Ukraine will have access to $1.1 billion. The Board is expected to consider the fifth review before its annual meeting,” she said.

According to her, at the time of the fourth review of the program, Ukraine's funding gap for 2025 was projected at nearly $26 billion.

“And our staff and our team are in the process of updating those projections as part of the fifth review, which is underway now,” Kozak added.
