Pentagon signs contract with Boeing to produce bombs for Ukraine

The US Department of Defense has signed contracts totaling more than $33 billion with a number of companies to conduct research and development within the Pentagon's Information and Analysis Center.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the Pentagon's press service.

Among the companies that received contracts are American Systems Corp., DCS Corp., Peraton Inc. and others. The work will be performed until 2027 at various locations specified in the individual orders.

Companies, including Apogee Engineering LLC and Joint Research and Development LLC, have also received similar research and development contracts worth more than $33 billion. Funding for 2024 and 2025 has already been partially allocated.

In addition, Boeing has signed a $6.9 billion contract to supply small-diameter bombs. The work will last until 2035 and includes deliveries to foreign military customers such as Japan, Bulgaria, and Ukraine.
