Russian dictator Vladimir Putin's threats have led to increased talk of nuclear war. And also about the possibility of returning nuclear weapons to Ukraine.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to Newsweek.
According to the publication, many politicians are now talking about nuclear war, as the conflict between the United States and its NATO allies and Russia over the war in Ukraine is escalating.
The impetus for this was also the fact that Putin recently signed an updated nuclear doctrine, which emphasizes that Russia will make “all necessary efforts to reduce the nuclear threat” and aims to prevent the escalation of tensions between states that could lead to “military conflicts, including nuclear ones.”
After that, rumors began to circulate that the United States might return nuclear weapons to Ukraine.
But the White House told Newsweek: “We have no plans to provide Ukraine with nuclear weapons.”
