Russia has again attacked a railway station in Sumy region with an FPV drone. This is the second time in three days.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to Telegram by prosecutors of Sumy region and Ukrzaliznytsia.
According to the investigation, the second attack was carried out on September 29, 2024, at approximately 13:15. Russians, using methods of warfare prohibited by international law, fired at a railway station in the town of Khutir-Mikhailovsky (Druzhba), Shostka district. According to preliminary data, the enemy used FPV drones to carry out the attack.
As a result of another Russian shelling, this time a train driver, a railway station employee, and a passenger of train No. 6605 were injured.
Ukrzaliznytsia reported that the armored diesel locomotive was damaged, so the train will continue with an auxiliary locomotive with a slight delay.
Prosecutors are currently documenting the consequences of the shelling in cooperation with other law enforcement agencies.
“Under the procedural guidance of the Shostka District Prosecutor's Office, a pre-trial investigation is being conducted into the violation of the laws and customs of war (Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine),” the statement said.
The prosecutor's office added that the pre-trial investigation is being carried out by investigators of the Shostka District Police Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Sumy Region.
