Jens Stoltenberg, who will soon step down as NATO Secretary General, believes that the Allies should support the Ukrainian “peace formula” rather than alternative proposals from other countries.
He said this in an interview with Politico.
When asked about Turkey's participation in the Sino-Brazilian Friends of Peace initiative, which promotes their “peace initiative,” Stoltenberg said that the Alliance “should support the Ukrainian initiative.”
“The Ukrainian peace initiative is an initiative that ensures that we have a process that can lead to a lasting peace. And, of course, it is the Ukrainians who ultimately have to decide what conditions are acceptable. They are the victims of a full-scale invasion,” the NATO Secretary General added.
