The United States will provide Ukraine with weapons worth $2.4 billion. It is part of a new military aid package.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the Pentagon press service and the White House press service.
According to the Pentagon, the package will provide Ukraine with additional air defense, drones and air-to-ground munitions, as well as strengthen Ukraine's defense industrial base and support its maintenance and support needs.
The weapons will be transferred to Ukraine under the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative (USAI). This means that the weapons will be purchased from industry rather than provided from U.S. stockpiles.

This is the twenty-first package under the USAI initiative for Ukraine.
“The United States will continue to work with nearly 50 allies and partners in the Ukraine Defense Contact Group and related coalitions to provide the support Ukraine needs to win the war,” the US Defense Department assured.
In addition to the package, US President Joe Biden issued a decree allocating $5.55 billion to help Ukraine from US stockpiles.
