Journalists asked the Republican presidential candidate whether Ukraine should give up territory to Russia to end the war, and Trump replied: “We'll see what happens. Let's calm down a little bit.”

At the same time, Trump emphasized the need to achieve peace in Ukraine and stop the deaths and destruction.

“We need peace. We need to stop the death and destruction. Don't you think?” - the Republican said.

Trump's running mate, US Vice Presidential candidate J.D. Vance, has previously suggested that Russia could retain the Ukrainian lands it occupies. He did not rule out the creation of a demilitarized zone with a fortified front line to prevent a new Russian invasion.
