“We said we were ready to take part in this conference... We hope that we, as Turkey, will take part in establishing peace in the region. We are probably the country that is most eager for a just peace in the Ukrainian-Russian war,” Erdogan said.

According to him, Turkey wants peace, and it is possible to end the war through diplomacy and dialogue. Provided that both the warring parties and other participants believe that problems can be solved in this way.

“Unfortunately, we are not close to this yet. We see the fact that we can negotiate with both the Ukrainian and Russian sides as an advantage on the road to peace. If we can go through this difficult path and achieve our goal, we will do a great service to humanity,” the Turkish president said.
