The initiator of the fundraiser for ammunition for Ukraine, Fedir Blashchak, said that six trucks delivered 122 tons of ammunition to the logistics warehouse. From there, Ukraine picked them up.

This collection began after the Slovak government refused to participate in the transfer of funds to the Czech Republic to purchase shells for Ukraine.

The whole process - from the beginning of the fundraising to the transfer of the shells to Ukraine - took about 4-5 months.

“It may seem long to some - 4-5 months, but for the supply of military equipment and ammunition it is a record time. Each unit of ammunition had to be checked, and this required a lot of paperwork,” said Blashchak.

He clarified that there are still 500 thousand euros left from the collection, which will be used to purchase ammunition for grenade launchers, and they will be provided by the end of the year.
