Explosions heard in Kyiv amid air strike
Explosions were heard in Kyiv on the night of October 21. Air defense forces and means are being deployed in the capital to detect enemy kamikaze drones.
This was reported by a correspondent of RBC-Ukraine and the Kyiv City Military Administration (KMDA).
The explosions in the capital were heard around 00.22. Earlier, Kyiv had declared an air alert due to an enemy attack using Shahed-type attack drones.
The capital's authorities announced that the defenders of the sky were on alert because of the drone attack.
“The air alert is on! Air defense is working in the capital. Stay in shelters until the air raid is over!” said Serhiy Popko, head of the Kyiv City Air Defense Administration.
We would like to add that Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko clarified in his Telegram that air defense is operating on the left bank of Kyiv.
It should be noted that the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that an enemy attack drone was spotted moving from the east towards Kyiv, and later said that the enemy air target was moving through Boryspil towards the capital.
