Russia attacks Ukraine with 56 drones
On the night of October 17, Russia attacked Ukraine with drones. Five hits were recorded.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Telegram.
The invaders launched 56 attack drones and unmanned aerial vehicles of an unspecified type at Ukraine (launch areas are Kursk, Orel, Primorsko-Akhtarsk). The enemy also launched an X-59 guided missile from the airspace of the Kursk region.
Air defense forces destroyed 22 enemy drones. The air defense system operated in Sumy, Kyiv, Poltava, Chernihiv, Zhytomyr, Mykolaiv, Cherkasy, Odesa, and Ternopil regions.
Another 27 attack drones were lost locally as a result of electronic warfare countermeasures. Two drones left the airspace in the direction of Belarus.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine reported five hits on infrastructure in the frontline regions.
