Ukraine and Greece sign security agreement

Ukraine signed a security agreement with Greece today, October 17. Thanks to this decision, Athens will take part in the training of Ukrainian pilots.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the Telegram channel of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

“Today we signed an agreement on security cooperation with Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis. Since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion, Greece has been providing Ukraine with military assistance, including logistical and training,” Zelensky said.

He noted that Greece is ready to meet the most urgent defense needs of our country in the future.

“It will provide additional resources to accelerate the training of our pilots and technicians for F-16 aircraft. I am grateful to Greece for all the help, for all the opportunities to protect our country and its people!” the President summarized.
