The Netherlands will buy drones for Ukraine for more than 42 mln euros

The Netherlands will purchase a batch of drones for Ukraine. The contract is worth 42.6 million euros.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the press service of the Dutch Ministry of Defense.

As noted, this is the first purchase by the Netherlands as part of the drone coalition. The Dutch company DeltaQuad will supply Ukraine with advanced Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance (ISR) drones.

ISR drones as reconnaissance drones can fly for a long time and over long distances. They are used to obtain real-time information from the battlefield, gather intelligence and conduct surveillance.

The Ministry of Defense reminds that 400 million euros have been allocated for the implementation of the drone action plan, of which more than half comes from Dutch industry. The purchase from DeltaQuad is part of these funds.

The agency added that for security reasons, information about the type of drones, the number and delivery schedules are not disclosed.
