Ukraine has increased drone production 10 times
Ukraine increased drone production 10 times in 2024 compared to 2023. The priority has shifted to efficiency and the latest technologies.
This is reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the Telegram of the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine.
The Ministry of Digital Transformation conducted a study of the drone industry together with the Kyiv School of Economics (KSE) and the Brave1 cluster.
“The production capacity of the Ukrainian drone industry increased by 10+ times in 2024 compared to 2023,” the statement said.
Production capacity, according to the Ministry of Digital Transformation, increased from 300 thousand units of drones in 2023 to 4 million in 2024.
The ministry noted that after mass production was established, the priority shifted to efficiency and the latest technologies. Experts also expect that competition will lead to consolidation of manufacturers in the coming years.
“There has been noticeable progress in the creation of air, sea and ground drones and the development of electronic warfare systems. Key trends include the use of computer vision, swarm technologies, innovations in navigation and communication,” the Ministry of Digital Transformation added.-
