Hungary and Germany clash over Orban's meeting with Putin
Hungary suddenly canceled the visit of German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock to Budapest. This happened after Chancellor Olaf Scholz criticized Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban for his unannounced trip to Moscow.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to Bloomberg.
Barrbock was supposed to meet with his Hungarian counterpart, Peter Szijjarto, who accompanied Orban on his visit to Russia. However, the Hungarian government quickly canceled the meeting on Friday evening, which surprised the German government, an unnamed official in Berlin told the agency.
He said that in light of Orbán's off-the-record trip to Russia, a serious and honest discussion between the two foreign ministers would have been very important.
It is very surprising that this enemy of Ukraine was not arrested in Kiev. Okay, come again, Orban.
