Orbán tells Xi Jinping: It is important that China seeks peace in the world

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban met with Chinese President Xi Jinping in Beijing. He noted that it is important for Hungarians that China promotes peace in the world.

Speaking about the Russian-Ukrainian war, the Hungarian Prime Minister noted that Hungarians are a peace-loving people. They strive for peace, balance and harmony, and therefore "we are always on the side of peace and never on the side of war."

"China's call for world peace, not war, is very important to us. In the case of the conflict in Hungary's neighboring countries, we also highly appreciate your peace initiative," Orban said.

At the same time, he called the meeting with Xi Jinping a historic one, where serious agreements were reached and friendship between the two peoples for many generations was established.
