French Prime Minister Gabriel Attal will resign after the second round of parliamentary elections.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to BFM TV.
According to Attal, according to the preliminary results of the parliamentary elections, the presidential coalition, of which he is a representative, does not receive a majority and ranks second.
"Thus, true to republican traditions and in accordance with my principles, I will submit my resignation to the president tomorrow morning," the prime minister said.
At the same time, Attal was also elected to the French Parliament. He won in the 10th electoral district of Hauts-de-Seine and will now be a member of the National Assembly.
