US postpones joint military exercises with Georgia

Jul 5, 2024

The United States has announced the indefinite postponement of joint military exercises with Georgia called Noble Partner.

This is stated in the Pentagon's statement, according to Yevropeiska Pravda.

According to the department, the United States has initiated a comprehensive review of bilateral relations between the United States and Georgia.

"As part of this review, the United States is postponing indefinitely the Noble Partner exercise in Georgia, which was originally scheduled for July 25-August 6, 2024," the statement said.

The Pentagon added that the decision to postpone the exercise is due to false accusations made by the Georgian government against the United States and other Western entities regarding alleged pressure on Tbilisi to "open a second front against Russia," as well as accusations against the United States of two coup attempts against the Georgian government.

"Thus, the United States government has decided that now is not the right time to conduct large-scale military exercises in Georgia," the statement said.
