Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva said he does not want to "please anyone" regarding the war that Russia has unleashed in Ukraine.
He said this in Lisbon (Portugal) amid criticism of his statements about Russia's war against Ukraine.
At the same time, the Brazilian leader, who was criticized for suggesting that Kyiv was partially "to blame" for the war, said at a press conference in Lisbon that his goal was to "find a way to bring them both (Russia and Ukraine - Ed.) to the negotiating table.
- I want to find a third alternative (to resolve the conflict - Ed.), which is to build peace," Lula da Silva said.
