The head of the German Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, Svenja Schulze, has arrived in Kyiv on an unannounced visit.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to Deutsche Welle.
According to the publication, Schulze arrived in Kyiv “to personally hand over part of the aid to the population of Ukraine from Germany.” First of all, the aid concerns the restoration of the country's energy infrastructure.
According to Schulze, the Russian Federation (RF) is targeting Ukraine's energy system to leave Ukrainians “in the cold, in the dark,” and therefore Berlin has found additional funds to help restore electricity and heat supply.
It is noted that this is the fourth visit of the head of the Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development of Germany to Ukraine since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion.
