Yermak names condition for negotiations with Russia

Currently, Ukraine is not ready for negotiations with Russia. To start them, the country must be strong enough to talk to the aggressor on equal terms.

This opinion was expressed by the head of the Presidential Office, Andriy Yermak, RBC-Ukraine reports citing suspilne.media.

“To start negotiations, Ukraine must be strong, and then it will be able to talk to Russia on an equal footing. Because all that is currently coming from the Kremlin is the language of ultimatums,” he said.

According to Yermak, that is why today they are discussing with partners why it is so important to strengthen Ukraine and why it is necessary to break the Russian narrative that Ukraine wanted the war.

“Ukraine did not want it and did not provoke Russia in any way. Russia did not come here to defend anyone, because it does not even defend its own territory (we are talking about the Kursk region - ed.). It is important for Putin to continue his aggression on our territory,” the head of the OP said.
