Former US President Donald Trump has expressed his vision for resolving the conflict in Ukraine. He suggested that European countries take a leading role and send peacekeepers to the country.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to The Wall Street Journal.
During his meetings with the leaders of France and Ukraine, Trump said he wanted to see European troops that could monitor the ceasefire in Ukraine.
According to Trump, the protection and support of Ukraine should be a priority for European states.
He emphasized that the United States is ready to support the agreements reached, but there are no plans to directly involve the US military.
Trump also emphasized the importance of using European influence to put pressure on China to end Russian aggression.
Among the tools he proposed is the imposition of trade tariffs against China if Beijing refuses to facilitate a peaceful settlement.
