DIU predicts decrease in attacks on Kyiv

A representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Andriy Yusov, emphasized the fact that the military strategy of Russian forces has changed in the context of the Ukrainian conflict. Instead of the massive missile attacks they used to practice, they have now switched to moderate attacks with missiles and drones.

According to the representative of the GUR, this turn in military doctrine is intended to complicate or even disrupt the plans of the Ukrainian defense forces to continue the liberation of the territories under occupation.

Yusov emphasized that Russia's new approach to the armed conflict, in his opinion, is largely due to the inability to conduct regular and intense missile or drone attacks due to the lack of defense resources. In addition, he noted that Ukraine's air defense system is becoming more resilient every day.

The representative of the GUR also expressed the opinion that numerous attacks on Ukrainian cities and towns are mainly carried out to support "demonstrative propaganda" for internal use in Russia.

However, in his opinion, this approach is also doomed to failure, as it is based on distortion and exaggeration of the real effectiveness of the use of combat drones and missiles against Ukrainian targets.
