Is it realistic to transfer Patriot production to Ukraine?

Transferring Patriot production to Ukraine is quite possible. Moreover, negotiations regarding this process are already underway.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the Ambassador of Ukraine to the USA, Oksana Markarova, on the air of the national telethon.

Markarova explained that the construction of factories for the production of western air defense systems in Ukraine is quite possible.

"We have such a task both from the president and from the minister of defense. These negotiations have been conducted quite objectively since the last visit of the president to the USA, after that our companies met. This is already very objective work," the ambassador said.

She noted that at the moment, she cannot name any clear framework, but assured that Ukraine is trying to speed up the process.

"This is absolutely real. There are many companies, I am not talking about Patriot now, but about other capabilities that have already started construction or joint projects with Ukrainian companies at home. We will actively work so that this applies to all capabilities, including such complex ones as Patriot." she added.
