Multinational exercises begin in Moldova
On Monday, June 17, the multinational exercise "Shield of Peace 2024" began in Moldova, and residents were warned about the movement of military equipment.

The maneuvers are being conducted to assess the preparation of the 22nd Blue Helmets peacekeeping battalion for international missions.
The Moldovan Ministry of Defense said that local and international experts will evaluate Moldovan soldiers during actions typical of peacekeeping operations: patrolling, escorting and escorting, ensuring the security of strategically important facilities, medical evacuation, and first aid.
During the exercise, the National Army of Moldova will also organize training courses for evaluators.
About 40 military personnel from Romania, Ukraine, France, Germany, Italy, Kazakhstan, Turkey, Austria, the United Kingdom, and the United States will take part in the courses.
The courses are a prerequisite for the Moldovan National Army to participate in UN peacekeeping missions, including in Kosovo and Lebanon.
